Asset Management Mobile
Date Published

Background
Following the successful release of the WebDAM application, I was tasked with exploring native mobile app solutions. The mission was to optimize the content management and collaborative process for brand creatives. This was the company’s initial attempt to enter the mobile market. I was the Product Manager and Designer on this project working with 2 remote app developers. We released the first version to the App Store in about 9 moths time.

Approach
The project began by partnering with product and tech leaders to discuss market opportunities. Leveraging the knowledge from previous redesigns and documentation, I began framing mobile-specific use cases and stories. I built prototypes outlining these stories while continuously iterating details with product managers and their customers.
We’ve hired an outside app development company, and I began collaborating with them to develop the app. The clickable prototypes played a crucial role in communicating product requirements to the development teams. I worked with mobile developers to gather API requirements and made necessary modifications. I submitted the app to the stores and collaborated with development team to improve the compatibly. Additionally, I worked with the marketing team to coordinate customer awareness campaigns.

Outcomes
We’ve provided simple, yet intuitive ways to accomplish certain tasks for brand managers conveniently. Collaborating in image light-boxes, approving or commenting on workflows, checking on campaign status, or simply uploading inspirational materials to draft folders became increasingly popular features that enhanced brand collaboration and reduced the time spent on these tasks.
